In addition to the fox, the new animals are the lynx, white-backed woodpecker, harbor porpoise, and moss carder bee. The project was done in collaboration with the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation  Naturskyddsf枚reningen . While all these animals are impacted by the rapidly changing climate in Sweden and the Arctic, the Arctic fox is especially vulnerable to hotter temperatures, as their habitat is getting pushed farther north and their prey changes. These new animals also come as Google is rolling out a set of various sustainability initiatives for customers, including carbon-efficient routes on Google Maps.     Im normally kind of a cynic with these things, but I had a lot of fun playing around with my new AR friends. Like the rest of the animals in the Google AR feature, these critters are all accessible via the Google Search app  you can find the model creatures if you Google them, but the AR feature doesnt work unless you have the app . After Googling the animal on the app, a box comes up as an option that allows you to  meet a life-sized  version of the animal  close up.  Selecting that option lets you hang with Arctic wildlife in the comfort of your own home. But its actually an elaborate prank by Improv Everywhere:     For our latest mission, we staged an elaborate time travel prank on a New York City subway car with four sets of identical twins. A man enters a subway car and announces he is raising money to complete his time machine. At the next stop, his future self enters to try to talk him out of it. More and more t stanley uk ime travelers convene on the subway car as the train rolls along, surprising the random commuters caught up in the middle. This is the third time the troupe has used identical twins in their pranks. For 2008    Human Mirror,  they filled a subway car with 15 sets of identical twins. And in 2013, two sets of twins dressed as Marty McFly and his girlfriend, Jennifer, staged an elaborate Back to the Future prank. So combining the two into time travelers on the subway seems like a natural progression. The troupe staged the scene five times in total, all on the N train.
